The Red Wheat and Blue takes inspiration from the classic New York Sour, featuring a red wine float that balances the fresh, vibrant flavors of lemon and blueberry.

Red Wheat and Blue

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Golden Eagle Vodka
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Oregon Pinot Noir
  • 8-10 Blueberries

Instructions

  1. Muddle blueberries in a rocks glass and fill the glass with ice
  2. Add Golden Eagle Vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice
  3. Shake until well chilled
  4. Strain over the ice and the muddled blueberries
  5. Pour the Oregon Pinot Noir over the back of a bar spoon to float it on top and create a layered effect
  6. Garnish with three blueberries on a cocktail pick

Enjoy neat, over ice, or in cocktails

Golden Eagle Vodka is distilled only once to maintain the flavor from our Dark Northern Red wheat. Although best appreciated in simple forms, the natural character of Golden Eagle can be used to enhance and add complexity to cocktails.
